描述
PLC的通信包括PLC之间、PLC与上位计算机之间以及PLC与其他智能设备间的通信。PLC系统与通用计算机可以直接或通过通信处理单元、通信转接器相连构成网络，以实现信息的交换，并可构成“集中管理、分散控制”的分布式控制系统，满足工厂自动化(FA)系统发展的需要，各PLC系统或远程I/O模块按功能各自放置在生产现场分散控制，然后采用网络连接构成集中管理的分布式网络系统。
